Why did you join GHNNC?
"As a long time Granada Hills activist and one of the co-founders of the Neighborhood Council, I viewed it as an opportunity to promote public participation so that the City would be more responsive to our needs. I am proud that GHNNC was the first NC in the Valley to apply for certification. It is our job to serve as a liaison between the stakeholders and the City and to weigh in on issues that have an effect on our community. The more people we can get involved, the better our neighborhood will be."

Why did you join GHNNC?
"I started my journey into activism when I joined the North Valley Coalition in 1989 and when the new city charter was passed several community members in Granada Hills decided we should form a neighborhood council. I hope that our neighborhood council can be a resource for our community - helping people get answers from the city and making our community a better place to live."
